A ride down to Tatton Park via the Wharburton bridge and through the outskirts of Lymm. A few climbs in this one, a couple are short but quite steep, all doable though. Following the usual route from The Raven to Wharburton through Glazebrook, over the bridge and straight on to the main junction. Ducking under the canal bridge at Lymm and up to the lights, over the main road, up and over the motorway bridge and left for the back roads to the top end of Knutsford. Down through mere road and into Tatton from the top car park end.
Coffee and cake - first one there gets them in.
Coming back a slightly different way via Dunham Massey until we get to Wharburton and a slight variation on the outgoing route through Glazebrook.
Will suit all level of riders and the same rule applies, out as a group, stay as group, this isn't the Tour De France so it'll be at a relaxed pace, no PR's or KoH/QoH record breaking.
This is about 99% on road (we do have to cross a small bridge on the way back that's just about wide enough for a bike).
As mentioned in the intro, this will suit most bike types, even skinny tyres.
This ride will suit all levels of fitness, it's not a race. Younger riders with road awareness welcome, we do hit a few roads that will, potentially, be busy.
We carry a few spares and tools on every ride with spare inner tubes but these are mainly for standard wheel sizes. 27.5, 29, 700c and 650b along with puncture kits and pumps. If you have an odd wheel size it is advisable to bring along a spare tube to 2.
The ride should take around 3 hours with the coffee and cake stop.
